Fuse Color Code Chart
Automotive blade-fuse colors offer a quick first clue to ampere rating. Use the printed number and vehicle specification to confirm it: shades vary, and color conventions can differ across fuse families and makers.
Common standard blade / Mini examples
Other values, such as 1 A, 2 A, 3 A or 40 A, exist in some series. MAXI and specialized blade families may use a different color-to-rating mapping, so do not apply the small-blade table to every package.
How to identify a replacement
Read the number molded or printed on the old fuse and compare the vehicle’s fuse-box legend. Verify the physical family (standard, Mini, Micro2, Micro3, MAXI, etc.). If the marking is damaged, consult the vehicle documentation or exact component part number rather than matching an uncertain shade. Never fit a higher ampere rating simply because a same-color spare looks close.
